A new report shines some light on the injury suffered recently by an All Elite Wrestling talent.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Smart Mark Sterling was injured recently. While many thought it to be a work or some sort of promo, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Sean Ross Sapp’s latest report notes that Sterling did in fact injure himself.
The latest report mentions that Sterling did suffer a torn bicep, and that his injury is legitimate. As far as recovery goes, Fightful’s report goes on to say Sterling is set to undergo surgery this week. Despite the injury, though, both AEW and Ring of Honor are hopeful it won’t sideline him too long.
Sapp’s report mentions the companies are hopeful Sterling can return to TV “in a few weeks.” While he won’t be able to get in the ring and wrestle, Sterling can still perform on the mic and at shows. For the time being, though, he’ll be away from any shows as he heals up from surgery.
