    Sri Lanka Asia Cup wins year by year: The Sri Lankan cricket team has played every Asia Cup tournament. Sri Lanka has played a total of 16 Asia Cup tournaments, which is more than the Indian and Pakistani cricket teams, who have skipped a few tournaments over the years.

    The Sri Lankan cricket team participated in their first Asia Cup tournament in the inaugural season of 1984, where they ended the tournament as runner-ups. They will be playing their 17th Asia Cup tournament in 2025. The 2025 edition of the Asia Cup will take place in the United Arab Emirates from 9 September 2025. In their first match of the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh on 13 September 2025.

    The Sri Lankan cricket team has won 6 Asia Cups. They are the second most successful team in the Asia Cup tournament, after India. They won their first Asia Cup in 1986, where they defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets, under the captaincy of Duleep Mendis, to win their first Asia Cup trophy.

    They won their second trophy in 1997, defeating India. After that, they won their third trophy in 2004. In the 2008 Asia Cup tournament, Sri Lanka won their fourth Asia Cup tournament by defeating India by 100 runs in the finals of the tournament, and they won their fifth trophy in 2014. Sri Lanka won their latest Asia Cup Trophy in 2022, where they defeated the Pakistani cricket team in the finals.
