    Hockey Asia Cup Winners in History:The 2025 Hockey Asia Cup was won by Team India when they defeated the South Korean hockey team by 4-1 in the final at the Rajgir Sports Complex in Bihar. With this victory, India lifted their fourth Asia Cup title and also booked a spot in the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium.

    Sukhjeet Singh gave India a dream start by scoring in the first minute. Dilpreet Singh then added two goals in the 28th and 45th minutes, while Amit Rohidas struck in the 50th minute to seal the win. South Korea’s only goal came from Son Dain in the 51st minute. They won their first Asia Cup championship in eight years, finally ending their long wait since 2017. With this victory, India now stands as the four-time Asia Cup hockey champions.

    India has won the Men’s Asia Cup hockey four times, according to the Olympics. Their first title came in 2003 at Kuala Lumpur when they defeated Pakistan in the final. The second title was in 2007 at Chennai, where India beat South Korea. Ten years later, India won their third title after defeating Malaysia in Dhaka in 2017. Their most recent and fourth title came in 2025 at Bihar, with a 4-1 win over South Korea. South Korea remains the most successful team with five titles, while India now stands second with four.

Pakistan went on to win again in 1985 at Dhaka and in 1989 at New Delhi, both times against India in the final. South Korea claimed their first trophy in 1994 at Hiroshima, defeating India, and added more titles in 1999 at Kuala Lumpur, 2009 at Kuantan, 2013 at Ipoh, and 2022 at Jakarta. India won their first Asia Cup in 2003 at Kuala Lumpur by beating Pakistan, followed by victories in 2007 at Chennai against South Korea, in 2017 at Dhaka against Malaysia, and most recently in 2025 at Rajgir against South Korea.
