    MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University volleyball team finished a 3-1 weekend at its own invitational on Saturday with a pair of three-set sweeps, beating Lakeland University and Grinnell College at Si Melby Hall.

    AUGSBURG 3, LAKELAND 0

    • Augsburg hit .244 as a team, while limiting Lakeland to negative-.033 hitting in the match, which took just 67 minutes to complete.

    • Ava Carlson (FY, Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) led the way for the Auggies, with 12 kills on .409 hitting, while adding eight digs and a solo block.

    • Taylor Hoehns (SR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS) had 12 kills on .350 hitting, adding three digs and a block assist.

    • Elizabeth Oster (JR, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) and Taliah Triggs (SO, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) had three kills each, with Oster adding two service aces and a block assist.

    • Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) had 33 assists, five digs, two kills and a block assist, and Maggie Lile (JR, Spring Grove, Minn./Spring Grove HS) had 18 digs.

    AUGSBURG 3, GRINNELL 0

    • Augsburg had three hitters with double-digit kill totals, hitting .267 in a match that lasted just 79 minutes.

    • Triggs paced Augsburg with 13 kills on .323 hitting, adding three block assists.

    • Carlson had 12 kills, three service aces, six digs and a block assist, and Oster collected 10 kills on .444 hitting, adding six block assists.

    • King recorded her third assist-dig double-double of the season and eighth of her career, with 38 assists, 10 digs and two block assists.

    • Lile collected 16 digs for the Auggies.

    FOR THE FOES

    • Kenzie Jackson had five kills and a block assist to lead Lakeland.

    • Millie Leonard led Grinnell with 12 kills on .349 hitting.

    • Augsburg competes in two matches at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Subway Stinger Classic on Friday, Sept. 19, facing Knox College (Ill.) at 5 p.m. and the host Yellowjackets at 7 p.m.
