Marco Scandella is hanging up his skates for good.

The Canadian defenceman announced his retirement from the NHL on Thursday after 14 big-league seasons.

The 35-year-old last played in 2023-24, when he suited up for 65 games with the St. Louis Blues, scoring two goals and eight points.

Selected 55th overall by Minnesota in the 2008 NHL Draft, Scandella spent parts of seven seasons with the Wild.

Across his 784-game NHL career, the Montreal native also spent time with the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens before finishing off his career with the Blues.

Scandella closes the book on his career with 51 goals and 119 assists.
