The WNBA regular season has come to an end and the playoff bracket is now set.

The postseason race has come down to the final days, as the Seattle Storm spent the last week securing the final spot over the Los Angeles Sparks, and the Atlanta Dream and Las Vegas Aces have battled over the No. 2 seed.

The Aces ultimately secured the No. 2 seed with a win over the Sparks on Thursday.

Here’s a look at the bracket for the 2025 WNBA Playoffs:

No. 1 Minnesota Lynx vs. No. 8 Golden State Valkyries

Heading into the postseason, the clear frontrunner is the Minnesota Lynx. The Lynx, behind MVP-caliber play from Napheesa Collier, have flourished this season on their way to a 34-10record. Minnesota also heads into the playoffs motivated by last year’s loss to the New York Liberty, and the Lynx will look to take home their first title since 2017.

But just behind Minnesota stands two team more than capable of ending their season with a win.

The Dream have one of the best backcourt duos in the WNBA in Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard and will cause plenty of problems for opposing teams. Atlanta boasts the second-best offensive and defensive ratings in the league this year, only behind the Lynx.

The Aces looked like a middle-of-the-pack team for much of the year, and a 53-point loss to the Lynx in early August seemed to confirm that Las Vegas wasn’t going to be a contender this year.

However, things have shifted tremendously over the last month. The Aces haven’t lost since that thrashing by the Lynx, and secured their 16th consecutive win on Thursday. That is the kind of momentum you want heading into the postseason, and it won’t be surprising if Las Vegas is crowned a champion in just over a month.

It’s a bit hard to imagine a champion would come from outside of the top three teams, but the playoffs are never entirely predictable.
