Rory McIlroy’s whirlwind year of professional golf won’t come to an end. It began with three big victories early in the season, including his historic first Masters win.

Then last week, McIlroy added a dramatic highlight with his clutch comeback victory at the Irish Open. With that win, McIlroy all but assured himself a seventh Race to Dubai title.

But he still has a lot to play for at Wentworth. Beyond the $1.53 million winner’s check, Rory and his fellow European Ryder Cup players are using the BMW PGA to prepare for the showdown at Bethpage Black.

McIlroy will tee off for the opening round on Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m. ET. He’ll play the first round alongside fellow European Ryder Cuppers Shane Lowry and Jon Rahm.

You can watch Thursday’s first round of the 2025 BMW PGA Championship from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. You can also stream a live simulcast of Golf Channel’s coverage via NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App.
