12-time WWE Champion is finally back on Raw!
Last week during the Raw episode in Perth, fans witnessed Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed betray Seth Rollins. Reportedly injured, Rollins suffered more damage after The Vision attacked him, which soon required surgery.
Now sidelined out of action and stripped of the championship, Raw GM Adam Pearce earlier tonight announced a Battle-Royal match, where the winner will earn a chance to face CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st, for a shot at the World title.
The promotional graphic shared by WWE for the Battle Royal match indicated the participation of multiple high-profile WWE stars. Names such as Rusev, Penta, Jey Uso, Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, El Grande Americano, and even Sheamus were advertised.
While the other names have been regular on television, the match will mark The Celtic Warrior’s long-awaited return to the squared circle. The former champion’s last televised match took place against Rusev at Clash in Paris 2025.
The 47-year-old is a former 12-time champion in the promotion, having won the WWE title thrice, the World Heavyweight Champion once, the US Title four times, and a combined reign of five tag-team titles with Cesaro.
Sheamus Reveals Concerning Moment Which Almost Finished His WWE Career
A couple of months ago, in an interview with Robert Jackman of Yahoo Sports, Sheamus revealed that he suffered a neck injury while battling Edge during his last WWE match.
“Every time I go into that ring, I want to prove that I still belong,†he says. “I want to show I can still rile up the crowd and get the fans invested in my matches. Two years ago I took a bad fall [he sustained a neck injury in a match against Edge], and I wondered if I would ever step into a ring again. So now every match I have is like a bonus. Thatâ€s why I want to make sure I give the crowd every last pennyâ€s worth this Sunday.â€
