We all want to improve at table tennis. But often players approach their development in the wrong way. They don’t practise enough. Or they practise in the wrong way. They don’t learn from their errors. They don’t reflect on their performances. They don’t push themselves outside their comfort zone.
In short, they don’t progress.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. I believe it is possible for any player to improve, and improve a lot more than many would believe is possible.
It’s all about how you approach your table tennis development – the goals you set, how your train, how you analyse, how you reflect, how you think.
I have added a new Development course to Tom’s TT Academy, all about how you should approach your table tennis development. The goal of the course is to help you jump up 1, 2 or 3 levels. This isn’t a quick fix. It will take time. But if you follow the advice in the course – and stick with it – you will improve and improve and improve.
In the Development course I have the following lessons:
This course is all about improving your table tennis skills and reaching a higher level of play. I will lead you through a development process, which will have a transformative impact on your game.
I discuss setting goals, selecting training priorities and designing a session plan. I look at different training methods, explore different opportunities to play and discuss the big importance of match-play. I also discuss why you should film yourself and how to reflect on your training and matches.
This course is essential for any player who wants to reach a higher level.
You can access this course in Tom’s TT Academy. This is a paid-for service, but the cost is very reasonable. You can sign up for a monthly subscription (£7), a yearly subscription (£49) or a lifetime subscription (£299).
In addition to the Development course, you will also get access to a huge amount of other content including…
I add new content every week. It really is great value for all the content you get. You can sign up here:
If you’re still undecided, below you can watch the first lesson from the Development course. It’s all about setting a big goal and some small goals. Take a look and if you feel inspired to learn more then please join Tom’s TT Academy.
