The NXT commentary team comprised Booker T, Vic Joseph and Corey Graves for the past several months, after Graves was moved to NXT. However, with Graves now being featured regularly on the main roster, WWE is planning a change for the NXT commentary team.
According to a report by BodySlam.net, the commentary booth for WWE NXT is expected to return to the pairing of Vic Joseph and Booker T.
“The WWE NXT announce team is expected to move back to the duo of Vic Joseph and Booker T.”
This comes after it was announced during the September 5 episode of WWE SmackDown that Michael Cole and Corey Graves are now the official commentators for SmackDown, replacing Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett. The duo will also handle commentary duties on Raw, so they’ll be pulling double duty.
Corey Graves was a regular part of the NXT commentary team but thanks to his great work, he started working on the main roster frequently. His last appearance on NXT was during the August 19th edition of NXT.
WWE bringing back Vic Joseph and Booker T as the main NXT commentary team shows they want to keep the brand’s broadcast style steady, while Corey Graves takes on a bigger role calling both Raw and SmackDown. So we’ll have to see how Graves and Michael Cole will continue to function as a unit on the main roster.
