WWE Star Declares Himself The Best Wrestler ‘In Any Locker Room’ In The World

The current signings, along with WWE’s partnership with TNA and acquisition of AAA, have featured multiple talents being showcased to a larger audience with cards involving stars from three promotions, often putting up high-quality matches, and the talents becoming fan favorites.

However, one star from World Wrestling Entertainment recently staked his claim to be the best wrestler in any locker room in the world, that being current NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page, who has been making a massive impact ever since he debuted in WWE in May 2024.

Ethan Page Makes Bold Declaration After Victory At WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

At NXT Halloween Havoc 2025, Ethan Page put up his NXT North American Championship on the line against AAA Latin American Champion, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. The two had met previously at Worlds Collide for Wagner’s title, which he successfully retained in a Fatal 4 Way match, also involving Page.

The two stars traded barbs over weeks, and on the October 14 episode of WWE’s developmental brand, Wagner declared that he had secured a match against All Ego for the NXT North American Championship at Halloween Havoc in a Day of the Dead match. The bout saw a brutal encounter between the two respective champions, with Page even attempting to rip off the luchador’s mask during the match.

While the Latin American Champion put up a solid fight, All Ego proved too much for him and retained his title. After the brutal outing, Page cut an intense promo backstage where he declared himself to be the best wrestler in any locker room across the world, even stating that he had made the title the most prestigious prize in wrestling.

He said:

If that doesn’t prove it, what does? What does? Who does? Where will it prove it? Who, what, when, where–and I’ll tell you exactly why. Why I’m the best champion. Why I am currently number one. Not in NXT, not in SmackDown, not in RAW, not in the independents. Every single wrestling promotion in the world bows down to the greatest North American of all time and the number one champion in professional wrestling.

Every single locker room is gunning for the most prestigious prize. And where is that prize? Under the banner with Ethan Page, NXT. I am NXT. And if you wanna try and come here for this, you wanna show up in WWE? You’re coming to try and stop the most historic title reign in company history.

Nobody has defended their championship against as many locker rooms or wrestlers around the world as me. People have said it year after year because they wanna boost their ego. I am the best professional wrestler in the world.”

Footage of the same was shared by WWE NXT on their X/Twitter, which Page reposted and quoted, saying:

While this bold declaration does sound in line with his character, Page has done little to back it up. Besides the current title he holds, Page is also a former NXT Champion. Fans will have to wait and watch who finally ends his dominant run.
