WWE Star Confirms Multi-Year Contract Extension

A WWE star confirms their multi-year contract extension on social media after reports surfaced about their deal being finalized last month.

Xavier Woods has officially confirmed he will remain with WWE for years to come. The New Day star signed a multi-year contract extension with the company in September 2025, keeping him on the roster after his previous deal was set to expire that same month.

The 39-year-old took to social media to confirm the news himself after reports broke. Woods wrote on X formerly Twitter:

How do yall know this stuff? I didnt say anything! But yes. You’re gonna see my sexy face for a while longer even though you dont deserve it.” He continued: “22 years in the game and about to make the next bit even better than the rest.”

Woods has been with the company since 2010, when he first signed a developmental contract with the company. He joined the main roster in 2013 and became part of The New Day alongside Big E and Kofi Kingston in 2014. The group has become one of the most successful tag teams in WWE history with record-breaking reigns.

The wrestler holds multiple championship records with The New Day throughout his career. He has won 13 tag team titles during his WWE career, including five Raw Tag Team Championships, seven SmackDown Tag Team Championships, and one NXT Tag Team Championship. Woods also achieved individual success by winning the 2021 King of the Ring tournament at Crown Jewel, defeating Finn Balor.

Wood’s Impact Beyond WWE

Woods has made a significant mark outside the wrestling ring as well throughout his career. Under his gaming name, Austin Creed, he hosts the popular UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. His contract renewal comes during a time when several WWE talents have left the company recently.

Stars like Santos Escobar, Karrion Kross, and Jazmyn Nyx recently departed after contract negotiations fell through with WWE management. Woods’ decision to stay shows his commitment to WWE and The New Day’s future with the company for years to come.
