WWE NXT fans who watched the November 11 episode on The CW Network missed a major part of the showâ€s explosive final segment—and theyâ€re letting WWE know about it.
The main event saw Ricky Saints narrowly survive a brutal Last Man Standing match against Trick Williams to retain the NXT Championship. But just as fans thought the show was over, a surprise return was teased: Oba Femiâ€s music hit.
Thatâ€s where the CW broadcast abruptly ended. Viewers were left hanging, with only the sound of Obaâ€s music and a glimpse of a shocked Ricky Saints in the ring before the screen faded to black. But now we know exactly what happened after the cameras cut—and WWE has released the full footage online.
In the extended segment posted to social media the following day, Oba Femi is shown walking down with purpose. The camera captures Ricky Saints staring him down from the ring, visibly furious, refusing to back down. Then, just as Oba reaches the halfway point, security rushes in.
Oba was blocked by WWE security from entering the ring—and thatâ€s where the video cuts. WWE hasnâ€t explained why the segment was cut short on live TV, but itâ€s clear the moment was meant to set up Oba Femi as Ricky Saints†next major challenger. The two last faced off at NXT No Mercy on September 27, when Saints dethroned Oba for the NXT Championship. Since then, Oba has remained active on the NXT live event circuit, but this is his first televised angle in weeks.
With NXT Gold Rush kicking off next week at Madison Square Garden, all signs point to Oba Femi stepping back into the title picture. Why was the confrontation cut from the CW broadcast? Was it a timing issue—or is WWE trying to drive fans to their digital platforms for more?
