An unfortunate injury may have just taken one of NXTâ€s stars out of action—and it happened during a TNA taping.
At the September 27, 2025 tapings in Edmonton, Alberta, Moose faced NXTâ€s Ridge in a rare cross-promotional match. But the bout didnâ€t end as planned. According to those in attendance, the match was stopped after Ridge landed awkwardly and suffered what appeared to be a serious ankle or leg injury.
Ridge immediately showed signs of distress, unable to put any weight on the injured leg. The referee called for a stoppage, awarding the match to Moose. Showing real sportsmanship, Moose reportedly helped carry Ridge to the back following the incident.
This match is expected to air on the October 12 episode of Impact Wrestling, but it remains unclear how much of the real-life injury will be shown or addressed on television.
Ridge had recently appeared in several NXT vs. TNA angles, making his injury a serious blow to the ongoing Invasion storyline. Whether this alters creative plans heading into Bound for Glory is still unknown.
Ringside News will continue to provide updates on Ridgeâ€s condition as soon as more information becomes available.
