WTT Star Contender London draw is revealed!

Joseph Hunter will be the first England player in action when WTT Star Contender London gets under way tomorrow morning.

Hunter, currently unranked, is up against Abdulbasit Abdulfatai (WR 201) of Nigeria at 10am, with the winner to face the top seed in qualifying Ryoichi Yoshiyama (WR 75) of Japan.

In the Menâ€s Singles, all the English players must win three matches if they are to reach the main draw.

At least one is guaranteed to reach the second round, with the two unranked left-handers, Felix Thomis and Louis Price, drawn to face each other for the right to face Kuzuhiro Yoshimura (WR 96) of Japan.

Andrew Baggaley (WR 461) will meet Filip Zeljko (WR 197) of Croatia, with the winner to play Germanyâ€s Cedric Meissner (WR 132), while unranked Larry Trumpauskas has been drawn to play Wong Qi Shen (WR 217) of Malaysia, with Ylane Batix (WR 93) of Cameroon awaiting the winner. David McBeath (WR 986) is up against Mael Van Dessel (WR 360) of the Netherlands.

The youngest English players are all in the bottom half of the draw, where Abraham Sellado (WR 1060) will face Ho Jeongmun (WR 424) of South Korea and Max Radiven (WR 1160) meets Remi Betelu (WR 167) of France.

The Piwowar brothers in theory could meet in the third qualifying round, though have tough tasks in the first – Kacper (WR 1118) faces Ho Kwan Kit (WR 166) of Hong Kong and unranked Jakub plays Ruwen Filus (WR 418) of Germany.

The only doubles involvement for English players at this stage is in the Mixed, where Sam Walker & Tin-Tin Ho will face Izaac Quek & Qian Ser Lin of Singapore in the only qualifying round.

In the women’s competition, Anna Green (WR 808) has been drawn against Elena Zaharia (WR 197) of Romania in the first qualifying round while Ella Pashley (WR 908), fresh from making her England senior tournament debut at the European Championships, will face wildcard Millie Stoffregen (WR 525) of Denmark – with the winner due to face the second highest-ranked player in qualifying, Fatimo Bello of Nigeria (WR 118).

The other England players have byes into the second qualifying round, putting them two wins from the main draw.

Jasmin Wong (WR 810) will face Tsai Yun-En of Chinese Taipei in the second round – with the winner likely to meet the No 1 player in qualifying, Hana Arapovic of Croatia (WR 109) in the final qualifying round.

Mari Baldwin (WR 939) is up against Leana Hochart of France, while Sophie Earley (WR 737) faces Tatiana Kukulkova (WR 149) of Slovakia. Sienna Jetha (WR 907) also has French opposition in Audrey Zarif (WR 138).

Jerseyâ€s unranked Hannah Silcock faces Debora Vivarelli (WR 143) of Italy in the second qualifying round.
