Who Will Roman Reigns Face in His Next WWE Match? Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest star in the WWE today. And so, he wrestles once in a blue moon nowadays. The Tribal Chief has only fought in four matches in 2025 so far, one of them being the Royal Rumble. This scarcity of fights makes every match of his a must-see. So we ask the question, who will he face next inside a WWE ring?

Well, the answer to that question is already known: Reigns will face Bronson Reed of ‘The Vision’ in a one-on-one match at the Clash In Paris premium live event. But the story of this match needs a lot of context.

Roman’s career in the WWE has been intertwined with that of Seth Rollins since the very beginning. Both men debuted on the main roster on the same night, Survivor Series 2012, as part of the Shield. The two would have a brother-like bond on and off the screen. Eventually, Seth would betray the Shield and would pip Roman in the main event of WrestleMania 31 to win the WWE Championship.

The two on-screen characters would have a love-hate relationship for years to come, until Reigns ditched his ‘Big Dog’ character and became the Head of the Table. The two men would have an on/off rivalry for years to come, seemingly culminating at WrestleMania 40, when Rollins helped Cody Rhodes end Roman’s nearly four-year-long title reign.

Cut to WrestleMania 41, and Seth Rollins faced Roman Reigns and CM Punk in the main event of Night One in a triple-threat match. Towards the end of the match, Paul Heyman, who was Roman’s ‘wiseman’ and Punk’s ‘best friend,’ betrayed the two to align himself with The Visionary.

In the following weeks, the two men expanded this partnership into a faction, which included Bron Breakker and Reed. 

Reigns, who had been missing since the RAW after WrestleMania, returned to TV weeks before SummerSlam 2025, rescued his cousin Jey Uso from this new faction, called The Vision, and teamed up with him to defeat Beon and Bronson at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

However, since then, this very serious feud has taken an amusing turn. On two weeks of RAW episodes in a row, The Vision would lay Roman out. Reed, after hitting the Tribal Chief with his finisher, the Tsunami, would steal Reigns’ sneakers. After doing this twice, he started wearing these shoes around his neck and started calling himself ‘The Tribal Thief’ and the shoes around his neck the ‘Shoe-la-fala.’

The Vision will have their hands full at Clash In Paris. While Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal four-way match against CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso, Bronson Reed will take on Roman Reigns in the biggest match of his career so far.

However, it is obvious that Roman is building towards a match against another member of this faction, that being Bron Breakker, who promises to be the breakout superstar when this entire thing is said and done. This can result in two outcomes for this Reigns vs. Reed match. Either Roman wins it clean and is beaten down afterwards with the help of Breaker, or Bron interferes during the match and helps Bronson pick up a win against the six-time World Champion.

The Clash at Paris premium live event is the first PLE in the country of Paris since the historic Backlash 2024 in Lyon. Clash at Paris will take place in the Paris La Défense Arena in the Nanterre prefecture of Paris, France. The show will happen on August 31, 2025, and has a start time of 10:30 pm IST (7:00 pm local time).
