Where to watch Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Where to watch Real Madrid vs Barcelona: The El Clasico, a match that sees two of the best and most popular football clubs in the world face each other. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona share one of the oldest and certainly the biggest rivalries in the sport.

Here, we will discuss the next iteration of one of the most looked-forward-to football matches in the calendar. We will tell you when and where to watch the match, where it will be played, a little history of this match, and who is the favourite going into it.

This will be the 305th El Clasico match, including past friendlies. The first time these two teams faced one another was in 1929. Out of these, Real has won 111, Barca has triumphed in 129, and 64 games have been draws. When it comes to competitive games, there have been 262, of which Madrid has won 105, while Barcelona has won 104.

This is one of those rivalries that has origins outside the football pitch. Real Madrid and Barcelona are not only two of the biggest teams in Spain, but they also represent two very different ideologies.

In the mid-20th century, the Madridistas were the team of the state and the government. Spain, at the time, was ruled by dictator Francisco Franco, who was a massive fan of Real Madrid. Francoâ€s rule over Spain coincides with Realâ€s most dominant era in the 1950s and 60s.

On the other hand, Barcelona is the biggest city in the region of Catalonia, which has been demanding independence from Spain for the longest time. Under Francoâ€s rule, Barcelona was a hub of protesters and revolutionaries. These people, on a national and global stage, were represented by the Blaugrana.

But today, this rivalry stays on the football pitch. Its importance has only grown by the fact that Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are two of the most successful club teams in world football. Many of the greatest players of all time have played for one of these two teams and, in a few cases, for both.

In the recent history of this rivalry, Barcelona has an edge when it comes to results. Since 2022, Real and Barca have faced off on 13 occasions across competitions. Of these 10 games, Barcelona has won eight, while Real Madrid has won only five.

As for this year, these two sides have faced off only thrice already. Once in the 2024-25 La Liga season, once in the 2024-25 Copa Del Rey final, and once in the 2025 Supercopa de Espana final. And on all occasions, the Catalonian side has picked up the victory.

Both of these teams have started the season strongly. In La Liga, Real Madrid tops the league with eight wins and one loss in nine matches, while Barcelona is right behind with seven wins, one loss, and a draw. Meanwhile, in the UEFA Champions League, Real has won all three of its matches and is currently fifth on the table, while Barcelona has won two and lost one, putting them in ninth.

If we look at how these teams have performed against one another in the recent past, FC Barcelona is the clear favourite going into this match. On the other hand, if we observe their performances this season, they are pretty even, with Real having a slight edge.
