Vidarbha and RCBâ€s Jitesh Sharma will be leading India A in the forthcoming ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup T20 tournament. Naman Dhir, of Punjab and Mumbai Indians, has been named the vice-captain of the 15-man squad that will take part in this eight-team tournament in Qatar.
India A will play Pakistan A on November 16.
The India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup T20 2025 competition also includes 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made headlines during the IPL 2025 season by becoming the youngest-ever IPL player, a journey he began with a six on the first ball he faced.
This squad was picked by Ajit Agarkar and his senior menâ€s selection panel.
The other opener is Delhi and Punjab Kings†Priyansh Arya, who gave some blazing starts to PBKS in the recent IPL season.
The fast bowling group comprises Vyshak Vijaykumar, Gurjapneet Singh, Yudhvir Singh, and Yash Thakur, with Ramandeep Singh and Suryansh Shedge supporting as pace-bowling all-rounders.
Some other IPL stars in the India A squad are Nehal Wadhera, Suyash Sharma, and Abishek Porel.
The Emerging Teams tournament, conducted by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), has been renamed to the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup. Afghanistan are the defending champions, having won the 2024 edition by beating Sri Lanka in the final.
The Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 tournament is scheduled from November 14 to 23 in Doha, Qatar. This year, it will be played in the T20 format.
There are eight teams in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 T20 tournament, divided into two groups of four each. Group A has Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A; Group B includes India A, Oman, Pakistan A, and UAE.
The India A vs Pakistan A match is scheduled for November 16 in Doha.
The Rising Stars Asia Cup T20 tournament will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network channels in India. Fans can live stream the competition on the Sony LIV app and website.
