Triple H Apologizes After Singling Out WWE Superstar

Triple H oversees a main roster of more than 100 WWE Superstars and talent, with a few hundred more across NXT and developmental. The two-time Hall of Famer is going viral for a new statement and revelation on one of the biggest WWE stars of the modern era.

Cody Rhodes will represent SmackDown as the Undisputed Champion at Crown Jewel VII on Saturday, where he will lock up with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins of RAW with the WWE Crown Jewel Championship on the line. Cody defeated Gunther to become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion last year.

The American Nightmare has been pushed at the top of WWE since shocking the wrestling world by returning after leaving AEW in early 2022. After dethroning John Cena to become a two-time Undisputed Champion at SummerSlam, Rhodes took some time off for Street Fighter filming, then retained over Drew McIntyre in the Wrestlepalooza main event last month.

Triple H took to X today to tout Cody’s hectic trip to Crown Jewel, which includes more than 24 hours of travel, an airport workout, media appearances, and an event with Make-A-Wish Kids and their families. WWE’s Chief Content Officer declared Cody to be QB1 material that has what it takes to be a WWE Superstar. He wrapped the tweet with an apology to The American Nightmare, which fueled fan questions on why the Undisputed Champion was sending gym selfies to his boss.

“People only see results… they donâ€t see what it takes to achieve them. 14 hours to Dubai, Find a gym in the airport… grind, 10 more to Perth, Straight to @ESPN hit… meet @MakeAWish families. QB1 stuff. What it takes to be a @WWE Superstar. Thank you to all. (Sorry @CodyRhodes, felt like I needed to share),” Triple H wrote with the photo below.
