Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania and Royal Rumble opponents may be the same superstars he has a history.
At SummerSlam 2025, Brock Lesnar shockingly returned to WWE following a two-year absence after being named in Vince McMahon and Janel Grant’s controversial lawsuit. Upon his return, he immediately targeted a big fish in John Cena and defeated him easily at Wrestlepalooza. Now, it seems like The Beast is here to stay.
The Beast Incarnate is already advertised for next year’s Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 42, and although he has just returned to the Stamford-based promotion, there are certainly already a couple of superstars that could be his opponents for two of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar crossed paths on the September 19 episode of SmackDown, leading to an off-screen “conversation.” At Wrestlepalooza, the former introduced The Beast Incarnate before facing and defeating John Cena. From the looks of it, both men are back to being partners, or at least on the same page.
If Lesnar and Heyman are together, this might create some tension and concern for the latter’s current stable, The Vision. The group consists of Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, Becky Lynch, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, who also used to be a heated rival of Brock.
Paul might force a friendship or even companionship between The Vision and Brock. If Heyman may be successful in mending the bridges between the two entities, Lesnar can insist on going after the World Heavyweight Championship, which Rollins will obviously turn down. However, after some convincing from the WWE Hall of Famer, Seth will eventually give in.
At Royal Rumble 2026, Brock Lesnar can face Seth Rollins and be on his way back to becoming a World Champion by defeating The Vision. However, The Beast can ensure to have complete success on his side by having Heyman and the Brons turn their back on The Visionary.
As the new World Champion on Monday Night RAW, The Beast can begin to encounter more superstars who are willing to take their chances against him. For Rollins, he will likely build a program with Breakker instead of going after the gold again. With this in mind, Gunther can be the one waiting for Brock.
We almost there to get the moment in 2023 💔🔥

Shades of Brock vs. Gunther was given to fans at the 2023 Royal Rumble when both men finally met face-to-face. Many thought that the long-awaited dream match could finally take place at that year’s WrestleMania, but it never occurred. The following year, Lesnar was named in the aforementioned lawsuit.
A lot has happened to The Ring General in Lesnar’s absence: Becoming World Champion, dropping the World Championship to Jey Uso via submission that definitely affected his character, and dropping it again to CM Punk, who was then cashed-in on by Rollins at SummerSlam.
If WWE wants Gunther to reclaim that same dominant presence on the brand and roster, one way he could do so is by facing none other than Lesnar at The Grandest Stage of Them All. Tomorrow isn’t promised for either star, and if both are available at ‘Mania, there’s no better place than there.
The Beast Incarnate will be able to uplift a younger talent and give him back the dominating and gritty presence he lost. Meanwhile, The Ring General, who is still feared by many, can be a good final opponent, or even one of the final opponents of Brock.
