Dominic Solanke is yet to get up and running this season due to a persistent ankle injury.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has been hampered by the issue since pre-season and has made just three appearances in all competitions, all from the bench.

Solanke last featured in Spurs’ 2-0 win at Manchester City on August 23 and has missed his club’s past five matches going into Saturday’s Premier League visit of Wolves.

But the new campaign has been more frustrating for the 28-year-old, who will have wanted to hit the ground running under boss Thomas Frank after the Dane replaced Ange Postecoglou this summer.

“The positive thing is he is back on the grass and has been for three or four days,” the Tottenham boss told The Standard. “He is progressing forward – slowly, but forward.”

And while Wednesday’s Carabao Cup victory against Doncaster Rovers came “too early”, according to Frank, Solanke may be fit enough to make the bench against rock-bottom Wolves.

Spurs will be targeting maximum points against a side who have lost all of their opening five league matches.

It would continue an encouraging start under Frank, whose side have taken 10 points this term to sit third in the table.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is recovering after a recent medical procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat. The wrestling legend took to social media to give his fans an update, and he did so with his signature brand of humor.

The post, while lighthearted, came after Nash had revealed some serious and surprising details about his heart health, including the discovery that he may have unknowingly suffered a heart attack two decades ago.

His health has been a topic of concern for fans, given his family’s history with heart disease, making this positive update a welcome piece of news. Nash shared the news of his successful procedure on his social media account.

“Procedure went fantastic. Penis reduction was a success. Actually the strain of no longer pushing blood in the entire hog brought my heart rhythm back to normal. Thanks to everyone concerned about my well being.â€

Jokes aside, the procedure was a serious one designed to “zap” his heart and put it back into a normal rhythm. In the lead-up to the procedure, Nash had revealed on his podcast that his cardiologist discovered scar tissue on his heart. The doctor suggested this was likely the result of a heart attack that could have occurred twenty years ago when Nash had a stent inserted.

Nash’s father passed away from a heart attack at the age of 36. An autopsy later revealed that his father had suffered five heart attacks in total, with the fifth one being fatal.

Kevin Nash is out of his latest heart procedure and already back to cracking jokes.

The WWE Hall of Famer recently revealed he was dealing with an irregular heartbeat and was scheduled for a cardioversion procedure to get things under control. Now, in an update shared to social media, Nash confirmed everything went well—complete with his trademark humor. Nash wrote on X that his heart rhythm was corrected, but not before dropping this gem:

Behind the humor, Nashâ€s recent medical update is no joke. He shared on his Kliq This podcast that doctors found 3% scar tissue on the back of his heart and suggested he may have already suffered a heart attack years ago without realizing it. That revelation came as a shock, especially given his family history. Nash explained what his cardiologist told him:

“My cardiologist said that I could have had a stent put in my heart like 20 years ago. He said I might have had a minor heart attack without even realizing it. Iâ€m not kidding you. And he explained that you can measure it as a percentage—he said the scar tissue on my heart was about 3%. He said that could be genetic, or it could have happened during the procedure of putting the stent in. But itâ€s in the back of my heart, which, if youâ€re going to have something wrong with your heart, you donâ€t want anything around your arteries. So it was in the back of my heart.â€

Despite the seriousness of the condition, Nash reassured fans that his current health was otherwise strong, aside from the arrhythmia. Doctors told him theyâ€d use a controlled electric shock to restore his heartbeat:

“But like he said, everything else about me is fine. The only problem I have right now is an irregular heartbeat. He said theyâ€re going to zap me and put me back in rhythm. So thatâ€s my next thing.â€

The situation hit closer to home for Nash due to his fatherâ€s sudden death at just 36 years old. That tragic event revealed a deeper issue during the autopsy.

“When they gave my dad his autopsy, they found heâ€d had like four before the fifth one killed him. So he just kept working through them. Iâ€m thinking, wow, I hope I donâ€t have that gene in me.â€

With the successful procedure now behind him, Nash is staying positive, poking fun at himself, and thanking fans for their support.

Kevin Nashâ€s health scare is a serious reminder that even the strongest legends in wrestling arenâ€t invincible—but itâ€s good to see Big Daddy Cool still standing tall.

Whatâ€s the latest on Masha Slamovich‘s status with TNA Wrestling following domestic violence allegations earlier this week?

On Tuesday evening, it was revealed that TNA Wrestling was conducting an internal investigation of former Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich after accusations of domestic violence were levied against her on social media.

In a new update from Fightfulâ€s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Slamovcich was never planned for last nightâ€s TNA invasion storyline on WWE NXT. Due to the fact that sheâ€s currently in Spain ahead of this Fridayâ€s Victory Road event.

Initially, she was set to challenge Ash by Elegance for the Knockouts Championship. However, that match is likely no longer on the table.

Surprisingly, Slamovichâ€s current contract with TNA is set to expire soon, and there was no certainty that a new deal between the two sides was going to be reached. Slamovich was scheduled to lose her match against Ash at Victory Road.

Amid rumors about a potential split, Jazwares has provided an official statement regarding its action figure partnership with AEW.

Rumors spread over the last few days after a Reddit insider posted that Jazwares will no longer have the AEW action figure license. Whether those rumors will ultimately prove true in the longterm remains to be seen, but Jazwares has confirmed that it will still be making new AEW products into next year.

Jazwares Chief Brand Officer Jeremy Padawer provided the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast with a statement that Matt Cardona read in a video on Tuesday.

“I think it’s fair to say you’ve talked to me and from everything you understand and I’ve said, we are making AEW product in 2026,” the statement said.

The AEW-Jazwares relationship began in 2020 as the promotion entered the action figure market for the first time. The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast did not have any information on whether the two sides will remain partners past 2026.

“Something’s up, though,” Brian Myers said. “We definitely need more answers.”

“Usually where there’s smoke, there’s fire, right? But time will tell,” Cardona added. “We do know, as far as we know, 2026 will have new AEW/Ring of Honor Jazwares product, which is a good sign.”

Jazwares — which was acquired by financial conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway in 2022 — is best known for making Squishmallows stuffed animals.

The Monday, September 15 episode of WWE Raw on Netflix brought in 2.6 million global views to go with 5.3 million global hours viewed through its first seven days, according to the Netflix weekly Tudum report.

The global views/accounts are identical to the September 8 episode while the hours viewed were slightly up from the previous week’s 5.1 million.

With the exception of August 4, the global views have been consistently between 2.4 million and 2.8 million over the last ten weeks.

The September 15 episode was the go-home edition prior to last Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza and featured an advertised appearance by John Cena in addition to a final face-to-face between CM Punk, AJ Lee, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

The show had a 7 PM Eastern start time due to Monday Night Football (domestically), an hour earlier than usual.

Raw Viewership Details:

• The episode ranked seventh globally, but was fourth in the U.S. — an increase of two spots from the prior week. It was in the top ten in 12 countries.
• The show’s runtime was 1:58, ten minutes longer than the previous week which helped increase the global hours viewed.
• The average of the last ten weeks is 2.69 million global views and 5.4 million global hours viewed.

Following a tease from his Conglomeration stablemates this past Saturday, Orange Cassidy is seemingly set to return to “AEW Dynamite” on Wednesday after missing the last six months. Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly all but confirmed Cassidy will wrestle this week, and speaking on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Dave Meltzer confirmed what he’s heard about the AEW star’s status ahead of the six-man tag on “Dynamite.”

“Orange Cassidy was just recently cleared to return, so this is his return,” Meltzer said. “He’s been gone for a long time [from a] torn pec.”

Cassidy will team with Briscoe and Hologram against three undisclosed members of The Don Callis Family. That stable has grown consistently over the last several months, and The Conglomeration has been feuding with the group on and off since July’s AEW All In. Most recently, Kyle Fletcher and Josh Alexander teamed up to defeat O’Reilly and Tomohiro Ishii on the August 30 episode of “AEW Collision.”

Ahead of Wednesday’s show, Cassidy’s last match before being injured took place in March, when he lost in a four-way Eliminator match for the AEW International Championship, which has since been combined into the AEW Unified Championship. Cassidy has been a workhorse for AEW throughout the promotion’s history, wrestling more than 250 matches there over the last six and a half years. The six months that he’s missed this year marks the longest stretch of absences from Cassidy since “Dynamite” began in October 2019, though he has dealt with some other minor injuries in that time.

Jey Uso suffered from a nasty cut at WWE WrestlePalooza.

The show featured a tag team match between The Usos and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision. The match took an unfortunate turn when Jey Uso got injured, forcing it to end quickly. The injury happened when Jey Uso hit Breakker with a chair.

The chair bounced off Breakkerâ€s back and struck Jey in the head, leaving him busted open. Fans also spotted special referee LA Knight instruct Breakker to give Jey a spear to finish the match. Following the match, medical staff rushed in with a towel to attend to Jey Usoâ€s head, which had been busted open.

Reports from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer confirm that Jey was placed in WWEâ€s concussion protocol after the match, a standard precaution for injuries like this. He said, “Jey busted himself open. He hit Bron with the chair, and it bounced off Bronâ€s back and split him six ways from Sunday. Despite reports that Jey Uso is in concussion protocol, he reassured fans with an update on his Instagram story, posting a picture of himself backstage with the caption, “Iâ€m good.â€

Sunday Update

— We have both of our weekend shows up, with the Friday show talking about all the news of the week and last night’s show talking about AEW All Out, WWE Wrestlepalooza and CMLL 92nd anniversary show. Bryan and I will be back tomorrow night taking Raw.

— I guess the biggest thing coming out of All Out for Wednesday, besides that apparently the PPV did well and all of a sudden afternoon shows for AEW may be the better idea largely because it’s a lot better for a long show to be in the afternoon, plus it helps with European buys. Crown Jewel is only three weeks away in Perth, so Raw should start the build. We already know Seth Rollins vs. Cody Rhodes, and whoever holds the Smackdown women’s title, will face Stephanie Vaquer in the two main events. We should get at least some ideas for the top matches at WrestleDream on Wednesday. Â

— Outside of the two major shows, the matches we’ve heard the most about to watch for the weekend would be Mistico vs. MJF on Friday which was a classic if you love 1970s wrestling (or today’s wrestling for that matter but aside from using modern moves it  felt like the wrestling from another era), Máscara Dorada & Neon & Atlantis Jr. vs. Hechicero & Volador Jr. & Zandokan Jr. from Friday and I’ve been told you have to see Ultimo Guerrero vs. Blue Panther from tonight at Arena Mexico where Panther won the MLW National Openweight title. As best I can tell, Panther would be maybe the oldest singles world champion ever. One person told me that they  thought their 8/8 singles match had a better atmosphere but they went all out. The 8/8 match between them was something to see.

— Google trends showed roughly double the interest in Wrestlepalooza as All Out, which should be no surprise. In the searches for both shows the WWE show was 200,000 and AEW was 50,000. AJ Lee and Stephanie Vaquer made the individual search list while nothing from AEW broke out aside from the show itself.

— We should have an idea of how Wrestlepalooza did outside the U.S. on Tuesday when Netflix numbers come out. It will not likely crack the top ten because it didn’t air in the U.S., so we won’t have numbers, but we’ll be able to see how it did in comparison with Raw and Smackdown in the key countries. Hopefully we’ll have a good PPV estimate for All Out by Thursday. Tony Khan said it did very well. We’ll also see how starting at 7 p.m. affected Raw numbers as compared to 8 p.m..

— We’re looking for your thoughts on CMLL Anniversary 92, AEW All Out and Wrestlepalooza, thumbs up, down or middle, best and worst match for each of the three shows to dave@wrestlingobserver.com

— We’re also looking for dark match reports from Friday’s Smackdown tapings.

— We don’t have more details but Mirai announced she was leaving Marigold. Mirai was one of its funding members and biggest stars, as well as someone who helped train the newer wrestlers.  She said her last match would be 10/13 at Korakuen Hall.

— The hints are that Orange Cassidy will return as the mystery partner of Kyle O’Reilly & Hologram against the Don Callis Family on Wednesday, plus Tony Khan makes a major announcement. Most seem to think it’s women’s tag team titles and a tournament. I do know he made women’s tag title belts some time back and said injuries delayed starting the tournament.

— Raw in Evansville, IN, has 5,037 tickets out per Wrestletix.

— Ronda Rousey shows photos of her training MMA. Nobody at this point expects her to fight again but she said she’s enjoying her training.

— Defy results from Friday night in Settle: Killer Kross b Calvin Tankman, Nicole Matthews b Amira, Midnight Heat b Randy Myers & Matt Brannigan, Marina Shafir b Hyan to keep the women’s title, Evan Rivers won a four-way over El Phantasmo, Ethan HD and Miles Deville, Bryan Keith b Clark Connors to win the Defy title. The Righteous, Vincent & Dutch, were on the show but didn’t wrestle. Next shows are 10/24 in Portland, OR at the Wonder Ballroom and 11/21 back at Washington Hall in Seattle.

— Heavyweights Ante Delija and Waldo Cortes Acosta headline on the 11/1 UFC show.

— Conor McGregor said that he expects to face Michael Chandler on the White House show in June. Â

— Rafael Fiziev is off the UFC show on 10/11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, due to an injury. Charles Oliviera, his scheduled opponent, wants to stay on the card.

— Mistico vs.Bandido headlined a show in Golden, CO, tonight.
