Kelani Jordan is said to be fine after a scary spot during the Knockouts title match against Lei Ying Lee at TNA Victory Road.

Jordan appeared to be attempting a hurricanrana from the ring apron to the floor, but she hit the back of her head hard on the landing. However, she popped up immediately afterward and continued the match.

Our own Bryan Alvarez reports that the word from TNA is Jordan “seems fine†following the spot.

A clip of the spot is available below:

Ash By Elegance announced she was vacating the TNA Knockouts Championship at Victory Road last night in Edmonton. This led to a change to the lineup as a battle royal was scheduled, with the final two participants facing off in a singles match later in the show to crown a new champion. Jordan then defeated Lee to become the 68th champion in the titleâ€s lineage and the 30th wrestler to ever win the belt.

There has been an update on Jade Cargill after her brutal injury on WWE SmackDown.

Cargill faced Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton for the latter’s WWE Women’s Title on SmackDown. During the match, The Storm was badly injured in a botched spot on the steel steps. There was blood flowing all over the place from the former AEW star after a huge gash on her forehead. The injury apparently led WWE to call an audible as the ending to the bout was also botched.

Jade Cargill Was Covered With A Towel And Helped To The Back After WWE SmackDown

Footage from after WWE SmackDown went off the air showed that Jade Cargill was being nursed at ringside. The star not only looked in bad shape but was also bleeding. This led to a WWE medic taking care of Cargill, whose forehead was covered with a towel to prevent further blood spill.

Jade Cargill was then helped to the back by the medic. There has been no health update from WWE as of writing.

Tiffany Stratton, meanwhile, remained at the Tiffy Top after retaining the Women’s Title on SmackDown. The star will now face Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel on October 11 in a champion vs champion match.

A top WWE star had to be replaced on SmackDown.

Tonight, as the September 26th edition of SmackDown opened, fans noticed a major change. Taking up Corey Graves’ place on the announcer’s table was Hall of Famer Booker T.

Last week on SmackDown before Wrestlepalooza, Brock Lesnar launched an attack on Graves and dropped him in the middle of the ring with two F5s. Now, sidelined and out of action, Michael Cole tonight shared a major injury update on the former NXT star.

Cole noted that Graves would be out for “a couple of weeks” after he damaged his neck from the F5s. Graves’ replacement, Booker T, normally sits behind the desk alongside Vic Joseph during NXT.

We at ITR Wrestling wish Corey Graves a speedy recovery.

Legendary WWE Referee Was Hospitalized For 12-Days After A Nasty Bump

Recently, speaking in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, veteran referee Charles Robinson opened up about how he was once hospitalized following a nasty bump.

“Randy Savage elbow. But it wasnâ€t a ref bump. I was a worker then, but that was the worst bump Iâ€ve taken the elbow from Randy Savage. He put me in the hospital for 12 days. It was Ric [Flair] and I against Medusa and Savage, and he came off the top with the elbow and Ric Flair wasnâ€t going to take the elbow from Savage, so they let Little Naitch. Cracked my sternum, collapsed my lung.

So two hours later, I went to my room and I said, Oh, man, I just canâ€t breathe. Went to my room, two hours later, still canâ€t breathe. I called Jimmy Hart lifesaver. He called the EMTs. They came to my room, took me to the hospital, said, ‘Hey, we need to put you in the hospital.†So that hospital, I wonâ€t say what city, they released me the next day to fly home to Charlotte, which with a collapsed lung youâ€re not supposed to do that. So I went straight to the hospital for 12 days. But Randy Savage called me every day just to check on me.â€

Piper Niven poses in the ring during a match on WWE programming.

WWE

Secret Hervice member and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Piper Niven is out of action with a serious neck injury, which was confirmed by Dave Meltzer in the latest “Wrestling Observer Newsletter” to be described internally as potentially career-threatening. Niven picked up one of the biggest victories of her career on the August 22 episode of “WWE SmackDown” from Dublin, Ireland when she defeated Charlotte Flair in singles action. Niven has not wrestled since the match.

Meltzer reported that Niven has been gone from television due to the neck injury. A previous report from Fightful Select earlier this week indicated that no official diagnosis had been given to Niven, but sources told the outlet they believed Niven would eventually be able to come back from the injury.

Niven most recently accompanied Chelsea Green and “WWE NXT” North American Champion Ethan Page to the ring alongside Alba Fyre at NXT Heatwave on August 24. Fyre has filled in for Niven as Green’s tag team partner, including during a tag team title match against Flair and Alexa Bliss on the September 19 episode of “SmackDown” where the champions retained their gold.

Green has been taking applications for a new Secret Hervice member on social media. According to Green on X (formerly Twitter) “Slaygent P” is currently “on a top-secret special assignment.” The former Women’s United States Champion said she would be accepting resumes and video submissions for a potential fill-in candidate, though only those with a record of “SHEcurity” will be looked at by Green.

Jacob Fatu hasnâ€t been seen on WWE programming in quite some time.

Back at SummerSlam in the beginning of August, Jacob Fatu failed to defeat Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match to recapture the United States Championship. Several weeks later, Fatu would appear in the closing moments of the August 29 episode of SmackDown in the United States Title match between Sikoa and Sami Zayn, helping Zayn capture the title by evening the odds at ringside.

Despite that seemingly being Fatuâ€s big return to TV following SummerSlam, the Samoan Werewolf hasnâ€t been seen since. So whatâ€s going on with Fatu and WWE?

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jacob Fatu will be back on WWE programming imminently. This means we could see him as early as tonight on SmackDown.

Fightfulâ€s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) seemingly backed up this report. Adding that he was told that Fatu was never expected to miss much time.

Perhaps the bigger story that has yet to be revealed is why heâ€s missed so much time in the past two months to begin with.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.

An update has been provided on the status of “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, whose absence from WWE programming over the past month has been a topic of discussion among fans. According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Fatu is expected to make his return to television imminently.

This is welcome news for fans who felt that the powerhouse superstar’s momentum had been derailed after a strong start to his WWE career in 2025.

The brief but direct report from the newsletter states: “Jacob Fatu will be back imminently.†The last time fans saw Jacob Fatu on television was during the main event of the August 29, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On that night, he played a key role, helping his cousin Sami Zayn defeat Solo Sikoa to become the new United States Champion.

Despite being on the winning side of that major angle, Fatu has not appeared on television in the weeks since. During his absence from the main broadcast, he has reportedly been competing in non-televised dark matches for the live crowd after the SmackDown tapings have concluded. It is unclear what WWE has planned for his return, but fans are eager to see the former United States Champion back on television.

MVP opens up about his in-ring return at AEW All Out.

At AEW All Out, MVP made his long-awaited return to in-ring action. He teamed up with The Hurt Syndicate members Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to face The Demandâ€s Ricochet and The Gates of Agony.

Unfortunately, MVPâ€s return didnâ€t go as expected, as he and The Hurt Syndicate suffered a loss. This marked MVPâ€s second match in AEW. His first match took place earlier in January on a special edition of Dynamite called the Maximum Carnage Special.

However, he has competed in independent promotions NEW WrestleFest XXVIII and BTW (Cali)/West Coast Pro Battle of the Bay. MVP recently spoke with TMZ Sports about his excitement for returning to the ring.

“I felt great. You know, more than anything, I enjoy reminding people that MVP is not ‘just a managerâ€. Iâ€m not a manager like any manager youâ€ve seen in a very, very long time. Iâ€m not your undersized pipsqueak chicken s*** manager because Iâ€m a 250 pound, over 6 feet tall, multi-time champion, Brazilian Black Belt World Champion. I donâ€t run away because I can fight and Iâ€m in the business of hurting people for money and I never retired.â€

He also shared that he has returned to training with plans to stay active in wrestling while preparing for upcoming jiu-jitsu matches. “I just think thereâ€s two things. One, yes, I am back training because I plan to be active in the ring again and I got some big jiu-jitsu matches coming up. So, yeah, my appetite goes up exponentially when Iâ€m training and burning the calories.†[H/T: WrestlingInc]

A new report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio has provided insight into the booking of the recently announced match between John Cena and AJ Styles. While the match was made official this week through a social media campaign initiated by Cena, Meltzer reports that the bout has been the plan for the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event for a long time. The narrative of the match coming together spontaneously was reportedly part of the intended storyline build.

According to Meltzer, several moments in recent weeks that seemed like standalone tributes or frustrations were actually deliberate seeds being planted for this encounter.

“This match was always scheduled for Australia — always. So the whole deal about Cena and AJ, you know, the idea that Cena was doing the tribute to him because he wasnâ€t going to get to wrestle him. That was actually to build to this match, that was not actually ever the case.â€

Meltzer noted that a “worked-shoot” promo that AJ Styles cut during a commercial break on a recent episode of Monday Night Raw was also part of the subtle, long-term build to the match announcement. The one-on-one encounter will be the first between the two legendary rivals since 2018. It will be one of the final four matches of John Cena’s career.

John Cena will have a retirement match, but fans donâ€t know much beyond that. A new report suggests that WWE may make things formal very soon.

Cena only has a few dates left on his retirement tour with WWE. The final one, his retirement match, has not been announced yet. According to a new report from WrestleVotes Radio, that announcement could come as soon as this weekend.

The outlet noted that WWE plans to announce formal details about John Cenaâ€s final match this coming week. The announcement could come as soon as Sunday.

Earlier this month, WrestleVotes reported that Cenaâ€s final match will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The match will be part of the next WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event special on December 13th. WWE has not publicly confirmed the details of this being the site of Cenaâ€s retirement match.

Fans previously speculated that Cenaâ€s final match would take place in his hometown of Boston. However, WWE announced Cena will be in Boston for a November 10 RAW taping. Reports suggest that WWE didnâ€t go with Boston for the retirement match for financial reasons.

The Takedown on SIâ€s Jon Alba first reported that Boston made a hard push to host Cenaâ€s retirement match. However, WWE asked the city to cover the costs of hosting the event. According to F4WOnlineâ€s Dave Meltzer, WWE asked for a site fee that was close to the $7 million figure that New Jersey paid for SummerSlam this year. The city believed the asking price was too high, feeling like an event so close to the holidays wouldnâ€t generate the level of tourism needed to justify the cost.
