Kelani Jordan has recorded a history-making win tonight.

Earlier tonight, during the initial moments of the Victory Road 2025 show, Knockouts Champion Ash By Elegance seemingly announced her in-ring retirement and relinquished her title.

Soon after, Santino Marella announced a battle royal to settle the finalists for the Knockouts Title tonight, where Jordan and Léi YÇng Lee emerged victorious.

Later in the night, as the show continued, NXT star Kelani Jordan defeated Léi YÇng Lee to become the new Knockouts Champion. She created history by becoming the first active WWE-contracted female star to win a TNA Championship. Jordan has now joined the list with Trick Williams to hold a TNA title while being an active WWE star.

Special guest referee Indi Hartwell was not pleased with the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling title heading back to NXT and is scheduled next to face Jordan at Bound For Glory.

Jordan is also a former NXT Women’s North American Champion.

We at ITR Wrestling share our heartiest congratulations to Kelani Jordan.

WWE Hall Of Famer Once Wanted To Be Kelani Jordan’s Manager

Earlier this year, during the NXT 2300 show, fans witnessed a backstage segment between Jordan and Hall of Famer, Rob Van Dam. Later, during an interview with B4 The Bell, RVD expressed his interest in managing Jordan.

“Kelani Jordan. I’m on board. We did a really cool little backstage vignette in November or December when I was at NXT for a second.

We both did the splits across the chairs, facing each other. So that’s my answer—I’ll be her manager.”

Kelani Jordan made history at TNA Victory Road by capturing the vacant Knockouts World Championship, but it was her real-life Fiancé Carmelo Hayes who delivered one of the most talked-about reactions of the night.

After TNA Wrestling announced Jordanâ€s victory in a tweet, Hayes quickly reposted it with a heartfelt message, writing: “Definition of a Champion!! Who better. Prada you @kelani_wwe â¤ï¸â€ — a play on “proud of you†mixed with a touch of style that fits both their brands.

Jordanâ€s win came after Ash by Elegance vacated the Knockouts Title at the start of the show. Life threw Ash a curveball, and she made the emotional decision to step away from in-ring competition. That left a massive hole in the division, but TNA wasted no time in finding a new champion.

A battle royal was held to determine the final two competitors who would face off later that night for the title. NXTâ€s Kelani Jordan and Léi YÇng Lee emerged as the finalists, with Indi Hartwell serving as the special guest referee. The main event delivered, featuring ringside brawling, technical wrestling, and several near-falls. After a chaotic closing sequence and a top-rope frog splash, Jordan sealed the win with her finisher and became the new Knockouts Champion.

With this victory, Jordan joins a rare group of NXT stars whoâ€ve captured gold in TNA, and she has a target on her back — especially from Indi Hartwell, whoâ€s already booked to challenge for the title.

As fans continue to celebrate Jordanâ€s big moment, Hayes†reaction serves as another reminder that these wins resonate far beyond the ring.

TNA Wrestlingâ€s Victory Road pay-per-view was a big show for the company. That being said, they also saw a new Knockouts Champion crowned.

Ash by Elegance had to vacate the Knockouts Title during the show, and that was a big shock. However, the title didnâ€t remain vacated for very long at all.

At TNA Victory Road, it was announced that the final two in a battle royal would face each other later in the show for the title. Indi Hartwell was named special guest referee.

Kelani Jordan from NXT was one of the entrants. She and Léi YÇng Lee were the final two. Jordan and Lee were then set to compete later in the show to decide the new champion.

This match finally got going later on in the night, and it had a big fight feel as well. The two got going and really took each other to the limit early on with back-and-forth action. Then they spilled to the ringside area, but the action didnâ€t stop. They got back to the ring where the two tried to best each other with chain wrestling while Indi Hartwell kept a close watch over things.

Things eventually resulted in a shoving match as Jordan came out on top. Then Léi YÇng Lee moved and almost got a pin off a roll-up, but turned it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Later on, Jordan was able to nail a powerbomb to the outside, and then she threw her opponent back in the ring, however, Jordan soon found herself in a crossface from Léi YÇng Lee. Jordan was able to get out of that move and take control once again.

Kelani Jordan climbed to the top rope and nailed a frog splash for a two count. Indi Hartwell took a bump, and she was out of commission, so she couldnâ€t make any sort of pinfall. She came to, but the former NXT Superstar didnâ€t make the three count. The two continued until Kelani Jordan nailed her finisher to win the match. Now the TNA Knockouts Champion is once again around the waist of an NXT Superstar.

We will have to see what happens next, because TNA has a lot of attention at this point. Only time will tell what they do next to spark attention and make some more history?
