Australia international Adam Zampa and New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner will not be available for Surrey’s remaining T20 Blast matches this season.
Surrey face Northampton at The Oval on Wednesday, 3 September in the quarter-finals having topped the South group.
New Zealand international Nathan Smith will also miss the rest of Surrey’s season after picking up an injury while playing in the Black Caps’ Test series against Zimbabwe.
Santner, 33, withdrew from The Hundred with injury, having been due to represent the Northern Superchargers in the franchise tournament, and remains unavailable.
The all-rounder made seven appearances in the Blast, scoring 29 runs and taking 14 wickets at an average of 12.42.
Surrey said, external that “disappointingly” Zampa, 33, will miss out “as he’s required for Cricket Australia commitments which we weren’t made aware of when we signed him”.
The spin bowler made four appearances, taking nine wickets at an average of 13.22.
