Table Tennis England, The Howard Centre and the Hertfordshire Table Tennis Association came together on Saturday 23rd August to host the first ever Ping Pong Social event at the shopping centre.
The event was the first of it’s kind and took place in the shopping centre’s Ping Pong Parlour, which opened it’s doors back in January.
The event lasted for a couple of hours between 2pm to 4pm with activities taking place across three tables, featuring traditional coaching alongside fun skill games and challenges. All of the participants that attended took home a trophy to signify their participation in the event.
It is hoped that this will be the first in a series of events that take place in the parlour throughout the next year to help promote table tennis in the local area.
A big thank you to Victoria Smith (Howard Centre), Stuart Mylrea and Tony Ward (Hertfordshire County Table Tennis Association) and Peter Jenkin (SLTTCC) for making the event such a success!
