Sonya Deville isnâ€t one to hold back, and her latest story is one of the wildest sheâ€s ever shared.
During an appearance on the Rule Breakers podcast, the former WWE star opened up about a past relationship that went from secret romance to total chaos — after discovering she had been dating a married woman without realizing it.
Deville revealed that the woman she was seeing at the time was Muslim and hadnâ€t come out publicly. Unlike Devilleâ€s usual relationships, this one was kept private, known only to close friends and a few people backstage.
“She was Muslim and she wasnâ€t really out and about, you know? I was always open about my relationships, but this one was different. No one really knew except a few friends and some people backstage. She reached out about two months ago.â€
Her current partner Toni, who joined her on the podcast, chimed in to share that Deville went above and beyond to support the woman — even helping her financially.
“Yeah, when she needed clothes, food, a place to live, and a car — you bought her all of it. That did happen. You were there for her when she needed someone the most. Still want that money back for that car though.â€
Deville laughed, saying she was careful not to make any major commitments but admitted to one big mistake — putting the womanâ€s name on a car.
“I knew better than to propose or buy a house with anyone. Like, I knew not to put anyoneâ€s name on anything — except for the car. Sheâ€s like, ‘Listen, I need to renew my lease. Are you good to stay on it or whatever?†And I said, ‘No, b***, Iâ€m not co-signing the renewal.†Three years go by, and she still doesnâ€t have anyone else to co-sign.â€*
But things took a shocking turn when Deville discovered the woman was still married. While spending time in what she thought was her girlfriendâ€s home, the womanâ€s husband — a doctor who was away for work — suddenly appeared on the Ring doorbell camera.
“This story is wild — I wonâ€t go into all the details, but hereâ€s the short version. She was still fully married while I was in this manâ€s house, and I had no idea. He still lived there! I was in this manâ€s home, f**** his wife. He comes on the Ring doorbell camera and says, ‘Whoâ€s this h** in my house?†And Iâ€m standing there like, ‘Whoâ€s this man talking?†She goes, ‘Oh, thatâ€s my ex-husband.†No, b******, it was her current husband!â€*
Deville said she was completely unaware, even spending time with the coupleâ€s son and playing in the front yard while the husband watched through the home security camera.
“He was a doctor who was away for work. I was in his house, hanging out with his kid, playing football in the front yard, and the kidâ€s saying, ‘When we get our new house together.†Meanwhile, the husbandâ€s watching on camera!â€
The bizarre story ended with one final twist — the husband later reached out to Sonya on Instagram.
“So yeah, this manâ€s voice comes through the doorbell, and Iâ€m like, ‘What the f** was that?†I thought he was the jealous ex. She made it sound like that. But everything started making sense — he still had access to the Ring camera, all his clothes were in the drawers, his toothbrush was there. It was insane. Later, I even got a message from him on Instagram that just said, ‘Yo, homie.â€â€*
What started as a quiet relationship quickly spiraled into one of the craziest real-life stories Deville has ever told. From being caught on camera to being messaged by the husband afterward, itâ€s a wild reminder that truth really is stranger than fiction.
