Seth Rollins is on the mend.
Rollins suffered an injury in his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth. After his victory over Rhodes, Rollins had mentioned that he experienced a rough landing in one coast-to-coast headbutt when he threw himself at Rhodes. It was later reported that he suffered a serious injury that would keep him out of action.
Two days after the match, Rollins was shockingly attacked by The Vision on WWE RAW, which PWInsider said was a creative decision because of the injury. This weekâ€s episode of RAW saw Adam Pearce strip Rollins of the title and announced plans to crown a new champion.
The RAW GM said that as a result of the attack, Rollins had to have “major surgery,†and would be “on the shelf for a while.†Despite the storyline credit going to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, Rollins did actually have surgery.
Seth Rollins has since had surgery and shared some post-procedure comments on Instagram.
“Caffeine and clarity,†Rollins wrote. “See ya on the other side. ✌?â€
“P.S. I love football,†he added, a playful reference to his complicated relationship with the Chicago Bears football team.
