Assil Sarri and Harry Tomlinson are the two recipients of the Mike Watts Achievement Awards for the 2024/25 season.
Assil, who is from Middlesex and part of the London Academy squad, added 421 ranking points to her tally over the course of the season, moving up from 69 on the Junior list at the start of last season to No 29 at the start of this. She is also No 10 on the Cadet list
Harry, from Yorkshire, added 510 points to his tally last season, to sit in 59th position at the end of last season, up from 276th at the start of the season. He is No 13 on the Cadet rankings list.
The Mike Watts Achievement Award is given annually to the England-eligible girl and boy with the greatest improvements in Junior rankings points between August 1 and July 31 each year, not including the existing top five Juniors and top five Cadets.
The award is dedicated to Mike Watts, who was the ETTA Events Manager and a Vice-President and, among many other roles, was Director for the World Championships in Manchester in 1997 and an international umpire and national referee. The award was first presented in 2003 in his memory.
