Rosters, Schedule & Everything You Need To Know

The 2025 Arizona Fall League is set to begin next month, and the Wednesday, the league gave fans their first look at initial rosters, which feature 10 of BA’s Top 100 prospects, including No. 2 Kevin McGonigle and No. 10 Sebastian Walcott.

The Arizona Fall League gives prospects who were injured part of the year a place to make up innings and at at-bats. It also allows players who are being considered for spots on the 40-man roster one final audition while serving as a finishing school for some of the game’s elite prospects.

Rookie of the Year favorite Nick Kurtz played in the league last fall, as did Braves catcher Drake Baldwin, White Sox shortstop Colson Montgomery and Brewers infielder Caleb Durbin.

Who will be the next AFL breakthrough players? The answer is just weeks away. In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know to get ready for six weeks of exciting prospect action out in the desert.

When Is The Arizona Fall League?

The AFL season begins on Oct. 6 and lasts until Nov. 15. Play begins with a standalone matchup between the Peoria Javelinas and the Scottsdale Scorpions.

Beyond the usual six stadiums in Scottsdale, Surprise, Glendale, Salt River, Peoria and Mesa, the AFL this year will take its show on the road to Goodyear for a few games and, on Oct. 13, to Kino Sports Complex in Tucson for a triple header.

The annual Fall Stars Game will be played on Nov. 9 at Sloan Park and will be broadcast on MLB Network.

The AFL playoffs—which feature a new format in which all six teams will make the postseason—will begin the following Thursday with the No. 3 and No. 6 seeds and the No. 4 and 5 seeds playing that day at Scottsdale Stadium. The winners will then advance to face the top seeds the next day at Salt River Fields. The league will conclude with the championship on Nov. 15 at Salt River Fields. The Fall Stars Game and championship game will be televised by MLB Network and can be streamed on MLB.com.

League-wide off days are Mondays from Oct. 13 through Nov. 3, and the annual home run derby will be held on Nov. 8. You can find the complete AFL schedule here.

How Much Are Arizona Fall League Tickets?

For 2025, A season pass—which is good for first-come, first-serve general admission at any game at any stadium all season long—is $160 with a discounted rate of $120 available for seniors. Single-game ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adult: $14
  • Senior (60+): $12
  • Youth (11-17) $12
  • Child (10 and under): Free
