Ravens’ Isaiah Likely Reportedly to Make Season Debut vs. Chiefs After Foot Injury

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely is expected to make his 2025 NFL season debut in Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs after sitting out three games with a broken foot, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.

“Baltimore wants him to work out beforehand to make sure he’s comfortable. But the plan is for him to go,” Rapoport wrote.

The Ravens (1-2) are set to kick off against the Chiefs (1-2) at Arrowhead Stadium at 4:25 p.m. ET.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh first told reporters in July that Likely would undergo surgery after suffering a broken bone in his foot.

Likely later said he suffered the injury after landing on his ankle “a little wrong” in a one-on-one with safety Sanoussi Kane (h/t BaltimoreRavens.com’s Kevin Eck).

Kane then stepped on his foot by accident, Likely said. A MRI later revealed a crack in his fifth metatarsal bone.

The tight end began practicing with the Ravens ahead of the team’s Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions, and returned to practice in full capacity for the first time on Friday.

Harbaugh said after Likely rejoined practice that the tight end could potentially make his season debut against the Chiefs.

“It just depends on what’s best for us and the team,” Harbaugh said Friday (h/t BaltimoreRavens.com’s Ryan Mink). “We’ll watch the tape, see how his numbers look. It’s going to be a tough environment. He practiced one week, but he looked really good.

“So is he ready to go in this game against those guys and play at the top, top level and help us win this game? Or is somebody else more suited? But he could do it. He looks good to me. We’ll just have to see if it’s the best thing for us on Sunday.”

Likely ranked as Lamar Jackson’s fourth-most targeted teammate last season, finishing the 2024 campaign with 42 catches for 477 receiving yards with six touchdowns.

His return will give Jackson another option as the Ravens look to recover from a disappointing start to the season with their first road win of the campaign.
