Piper Niven has been off WWE television since her win over Charlotte Flair on the August 22 episode of SmackDown, and now we know why—sheâ€s injured.
According to Fightful Select, the former WWE Womenâ€s Tag Team Champion is currently sidelined with an unspecified injury. This revelation comes after fans began asking questions about her recent absence, especially since she was replaced by Alba Fyre during Chelsea Greenâ€s tag match on the September 19 show.
The injury reportedly came without many details, and WWE sources havenâ€t provided a clear update on its severity. Fightful noted the following about her status:
“Over the last week, Fightful Select has been getting a lot of inquiries regarding the status with Piper Niven of the Secret Hervice. When Fightful looked into her recent absence, we were told that she was injured. We didnâ€t hear what the specific injury was, just that they donâ€t know how bad it is at this point.â€
Niven has not stepped into a WWE ring since that August victory over Flair. While it initially seemed like a possible angle, her absence during the latest tag match involving Chelsea Green was a clear sign something more serious was going on. Thereâ€s currently no timetable for her return.
Weâ€re wishing Piper Niven a fast and full recovery, and Ringside News will no doubt be watching closely for any updates from WWE or the Secret Hervice duo.
