The final week of October marked a remarkable moment for global table tennis, as four continental team championships unfolded simultaneously across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The weekâ€s competitions not only crowned new champions but also determined key qualification spots for the upcoming World Team Championships in London 2026.

    Asia: Chinaâ€s Continued Dominance

In Bhubaneswar, India, China once again demonstrated its unmatched strength on the international stage, capturing both the menâ€s and womenâ€s team titles. The victories reaffirmed Chinaâ€s long-standing dominance in the sport and its status as the benchmark for excellence heading into London 2026.

Europe: France Makes History, Germany Stays Supreme

In Europe, history was made as France claimed its first menâ€s continental team title since 1998. The Lebrun brothers—Alexis and Félix—played pivotal roles in leading their team to victory, signaling the emergence of a new era for French table tennis. On the womenâ€s side, Germany extended its reign by securing a third consecutive European team crown, reinforcing its position as the continentâ€s most consistent powerhouse.

    Africa: Egypt Retains Its Title

Across Africa, Egypt once again proved its continental dominance, retaining both menâ€s and womenâ€s team titles. The Egyptian squadâ€s combination of experience and technical mastery ensured their continued presence among the worldâ€s elite teams.

    Americas: North American Success

In Rock Hill, USA, the Americas Championships provided thrilling competition and showcased the growing depth of talent in the region. Both Canada and the United States earned their qualification spots for London 2026 after impressive performances, reflecting the steady rise of North American table tennis on the world stage.

A Truly Global Celebration of the Sport

The simultaneous staging of four continental events underscored the sportâ€s global reach and growing competitive diversity. Nations from every region demonstrated their ability to challenge traditional powerhouses and contribute to an increasingly balanced international landscape.
