Major AEW Dynamite Change Announced; WWE To Be Worried?

AEW Dynamite is set to undergo another major change.

Earlier tonight, during the October 4th episode of Collision, a huge change was announced for the upcoming episode of Dynamite.

Next week’s Dynamite will undergo a transition and air on Tuesday instead of its regular Wednesday-night slot. Going by the moniker of ‘Title Tuesday‘, Dynamite will air on October 7th and collide directly with WWE NXT vs TNA Showdown.

For the past few months, WWE has regularly counter-programmed AEW PPVs, including All In, Forbidden Door, and All Out 2025. While a customary tradition of hosting ‘Title Tuesday’ ahead of WrestleDream, this year’s show has surprisingly placed it head-on with the NXT vs TNA Showdown episode.

On tonight’s episode, several highly anticipated matches were announced for ‘Title Tuesday’, including a TNT Championship match between Kyle Fletcher and Kyle O’Reilly. Adam Page and Samoa Joe are also scheduled to go face-to-face before their WrestleDream 2025 match.

Here is the updated match card for the October 7th ‘Title Tuesday’:

  • Brodido vs Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita – Double jeopardy eliminator match
  • Jon Moxley vs Tomohiro Ishii
  • PAC vs Orange Cassidy
  • Kyle Fletcher vs Kyle O’Reilly – TNT Championship match
  • The Hurt Syndicate vs The Demand – Street Fight

AEW President Tony Khan Discusses WWE’s Counterprogramming Tactics

Earlier this year, on the Forbidden Door media call, All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was questioned about WWEâ€s tactics of counterprogramming his shows. Avoiding a direct answer, Khan decided to praise his own company.

“Weâ€ve had a great 2025 in AEW and I believe that, in large part, thatâ€s because everyone in AEW is really focused on making AEW a tremendous promotion and continuing this excellent year weâ€re having.â€

“All these things have come together to build a lot of excitement inside AEW and outside AEW, and all around the company. I want to be able to continue that, and the most important thing for us is to talk about AEW and work really hard on AEW every week. It means not necessarily focusing on what every wrestling promotion is doing, but I do like watching wrestling and keeping up with what other wrestling promotions are doing.

Weâ€ve been in business since 2019 and in every one of those years, there have been other wrestling promotions at times doing very cool things. At the very best of AEW, weâ€ve been super focused on what weâ€re doing. Not being the only wrestling company in the world, but trying our best to be the best. I know we have the best wrestlers, and this year I think weâ€re doing the best TV shows and pay-per-views. I know we have the best fans.â€
