WWE is just a few hours away from a live SmackDown with the latest Crown Jewel build. A veteran Superstar has just revealed that a certain 13-time championship tag team will be in the house for tonight’s show.
The New Day continues to run wild on the WWE Universe with their heel antics. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods recently linked up with Grayson Waller to once again operate as a three-man team. Last week’s RAW saw the heel trio lose a No Disqualification match to Penta and The War Raiders, just three weeks after losing to the same team with no stipulation.
This week’s RAW saw Woods’ interference backfire as LA Knight defeated Kingston in singles action, while Waller recovered from the trios loss. The New Day are now set to be at tonight’s SmackDown, but there’s no word yet on Waller’s status. Woods took to X this afternoon with a throwback clip of Steve Austin, and a warning for the blue brand locker-room.
“Me and @truekofi walking into the #Smackdown locker room tonight,” wrote Xavier Woods with the clip below.

The New Day have not wrestled together on SmackDown since late 2022, but Woods and Kingston both worked blue brand singles bouts in early 2023. They’ve also worked recent SmackDown dark matches – losing to The War Raiders in a late August Street Fight, then losing to AJ Styles and Jacob Fatu in a Tornado Match last month.
It’s likely The New Day will be wrestling The Viking Raiders in one of tonight’s dark matches. A tag team showdown with the RAW duos had been advertised locally at one point, along with LA Knight vs. Rusev. There was concern over Kingston coming out of this week’s RAW.
WWE will continue the blue brand build to Crown Jewel during tonight’s live SmackDown from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The updated announced lineup looks like this:
The SmackDown and arena websites also have the following Superstars advertised for tonight’s SmackDown: Jacob Fatu, Jade Cargill, Solo Sikoa, The Street Profits, Chelsea Green, Drew McIntyre.
