Kristie Mewis has shared the adorable nickname she and fiancée Sam Kerr use for their baby boy, Jagger.
The USWNT midfielder, 34, welcomed Jagger in May and recently posted a photo of herself with him watching Kerr in action for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But the moment wasn’t all about football. In the caption, Mewis revealed the couple’s affectionate nickname for their son: “Mr. Moo Moo.” She also invited followers to share their own funniest nicknames for their kids.
Kerr, however, had a cheekier alternative, commenting: “Mr. sh**througheverything” – a label many new parents will relate to.
Mewis and Kerr – who recently scored her 100th career goal for Chelsea – began dating during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and went public the following year.
They got engaged in November 2023 and have since spoken openly about their relationship and visibility.
In a pre-engagement interview with Gaffer, Mewis said: “I think just being out and being two girls in love, if we can change one or two people’s lives and the way they feel about each other, that means a lot to me.
“I love to share my relationship on social media,” she added. “If we can change how one or two people feel about themselves, they can look at us, see that we’re happy, and know that we’re trying to be successful as an out gay couple. I think that’s so important.”
