WWE legend John Cena’s retirement is drawing closer every day.
In order to book his final opponent, WWE and Cena have come up with the solution of holding a massive 16-man tournament, dubbed the “Last Time Is Now” tournament. So far, several qualifying matches have taken place, with names like Sheamus, Jey Uso and others proceeding to the Quarter Finals. A number of unexpected stars have also competed in the brackets so far, including Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder.
With Rusev, Gunther, Sheamus, Jey Uso, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in the Quarter Finals, Cena’s last match will likely be an intense bout. However, a recent hint by the WWE legend has raised eyebrows.
Taking to Instagram, Cena posted a picture of the Celtic Warrior. This has prompted many fans to question whether this is an indication that the 17-time World Champion has already picked his final opponent.

The Celtic Warrior also spoke about the chances of him facing John Cena on December 13th, which he believes are quite high.
Speaking in an episode of Busted Open, Sheamus stated that he would be the perfect opponent for Cena as he was the only one capable of putting on a “banger of all banger matches” to retire the goat (Greatest Of All Time) of all goats. He also claimed that he wanted the Intercontinental title that the Cenation Leader had around his waist, considering the Celtic Warrior has never been able to bag that particular belt despite chasing it for years.
Does this mean that Sheamus will be the on to retire the WWE legend? Fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
