Hampshire batter Joe Weatherley has signed a one-year contract extension with his boyhood club.
The 28-year-old is currently recovering from breaking his arm against Worcestershire in the One-Day Cup on 13 August.
He has scored two fifties in three innings in the Country Championship this season, averaging 46.33.
The right-handed batter also registered a personal best unbeaten 116 in the One-Day Cup, and accumulated 328 runs across the T20 Blast tournament.
Weatherley, who is from Winchester, told the club website:, external “Hampshire Cricket has been my home since the age of nine, so signing until 2026 was an easy decision.
“I can’t wait to get back playing next year. This club has always supported me and there’s still a lot I want to achieve.”
Hampshire Director of Cricket Giles White added: “Joe has been an integral part of our setup for many years, and his performances this season before injury showed just how valuable he is to the team.”
