Jimmy Uso Claims WWE Stars Backstage Still Mistake Him For Jey In 2025

Jimmy Uso shared hilarious experiences of being mistaken for his brother, Jey Uso, even from people within WWE with whom The Usos have worked for years.

Jimmy Uso Shares How He Reacts When Being Mistaken For Jey Uso, Says People Backstage In WWE Can’t Tell Them Apart

On the latest episode of the podcast, Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Jimmy Uso was asked if he is ever confused for his sibling and how he reacts to it.

Big Jim responded that he was thankful that they are both identical twins, so he doesn’t mind it, saying he usually does small talk and leaves:

Well, the good thing is me and my brother are really twins. Me and Jey are twins. Me and Jey just look alike, so I just eat it up. Itâ€s all good. If Iâ€m hooded up, I just keep it moving. “Hey, whatâ€s up?†Thatâ€s what it is — in and out. At least Iâ€m a twin.”

When asked if fans asked him for a photo, mistaking him for his brother, Uso replied that it happens all the time and he always obliges the fans. Saying that when fans recognize the mistake, he just has a little chat with them and leaves.

The conversation was as follows:

[Peter Rosenberg]: You ever take pictures as Jey where people are like, ‘Jey, can I get a picture?’

[Jimmy Uso] ‘Oh, all that, bro.’ What you mean, bro? Iâ€m just trying to be in and out because Iâ€m like, nah. Or theyâ€ll say, ‘You Jey?’ ‘Yeah, man.’ ‘I thought you were Jey, you ainâ€t Jimmy.’ And then itâ€s a whole other conversation that just goes on when Iâ€m just trying to be in and out, you know what Iâ€m saying?”

Rosenberg then asked Big Jim how long it took for people backstage in WWE to tell the two siblings apart, which is when he made the surprising revelation that it happens to this day, stating that people who he had worked with for years still can’t tell the brothers apart; however, he always takes it in good spirit:

[Peter Rosenberg]: Now tell the truth – how long did it last, even backstage, where you knew that a lot of people who worked there, maybe not the people in the locker room who were with you every minute, but where a lot of people backstage still really didnâ€t know the difference between you guys? How long did that last?

[Jimmy Uso]: Itâ€s still going on today. No, itâ€s still going on today. I own – all my kids, all my wife. And you know what? Even the closest homies that have been there our whole career — ‘Hey, Jey.’ And Iâ€ll just stop, bro, and look at them. Theyâ€re like, ‘Oh my God, Iâ€m so sorry. I did not mean to call you that.’

I was like, ‘Bro, Iâ€ve known you my whole career. Iâ€ve seen you my whole career here. You tell me what Iâ€ve got to do, what match Iâ€ve got. I know you. You know me.’ But Iâ€ve got to give them hell, though.”

While this makes for a hilarious story, the current storyline seems to be building a divide between The Usos, who are on a path where they could be set to face each other again somewhere in the near future.
