Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded to Green Bay Packers fans trolling him on Thursday night following the blockbuster Micah Parsons trade between the two teams.
“Well I’ll tell you, the way they’re playing, the way Green Bay is playing, I’m all for them enjoying and chanting anything that they really want to,” Jones said during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan’s The K&C Masterpiece show (h/t Yahoo Sports).
Packers fans were chanting “Thank you Jerry” following the team’s 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night.
On Aug. 28, Jones and the Cowboys surprisingly dealt Parsons to Green Bay in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks amid a contract dispute. The star pass-rusher went on to sign a four-year, $188 million pact with the Packers.
Parsons has played a key role in Green Bay’s 2-0 start this season, amassing four quarterback hits and three pressures to go along with 1.5 sacks in two games.
The Packers have allowed a mere 15.5 points per game through two weeks, marking an improvement after they gave up 19.9 points on a weekly basis last season.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys narrowly fell to the Philadelphia Eagles by the final score of 24-20 in their season-opener on Sept. 4. Clark finished with five tackles in the defeat.
The public chants from Packers fans didn’t appear to bother Jones too much, though.
