Jayden Daniels, Xavier Worthy, NFL Injury Statuses and Fantasy Impact for Week 4

The Washington Commanders will be without their two best players in Week 4.

Jayden Daniels is out for the second consecutive week with a knee injury, while Terry McLaurin is a new addition to the injury list.

There’s better news in Kansas City, as Xavier Worthy is on track to play after he missed almost three full games with a shoulder issue.

Below is a look at all of the significant injury news affecting fantasy football matchups in Week 4.

Jayden Daniels Out For Second Straight Week

Washington will once again start Marcus Mariota at quarterback.

Jayden Daniels is not fully ready to play yet, so he’s being rested for a second game in a row.

Mariota threw for 207 yards and ran in a touchdown to go along with his 40 rushing yards in the Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Mariota and Co. have a much tougher matchup ahead in Week 4 against an Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL.

The Falcons held all three of their opponents under 160 passing yards, so it may be a week to pass on Mariota from a fantasy football perspective, especially with Terry McLaurin ruled out.

Jaxson Dart might be the best waiver-wire pickup at quarterback in terms of availability, but if Daniel Jones is still on waivers, he’s the signal-caller to choose.

Trevor Lawrence and Carson Wentz are among the potential spot-starters at quarterback if you can’t land one of the big-name waiver-wire pickups.

Xavier Worthy Expected to Play in Week 4

The Kansas City offense is expected to receive a massive boost on Sunday with the likely return of Xavier Worthy.

Worthy was taken out early in the Chiefs’ season opener due to a collision with Travis Kelce that injured his shoulder.

Worthy is a must-start player in Week 4, even if he isn’t 100 percent, because of Patrick Mahomes’ high reliance on him in the passing game.

Kansas City’s star wide out is also going up against a Baltimore defense that’s allowed the fourth-most passing yards in the NFL.
