A storm is here in WWE, and now sheâ€s womenâ€s champion. After over a year on the roster, Jade Cargill is now the top name on SmackDown.
WWE Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event went down at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. That included a big title match for the womenâ€s championship, and itâ€s no longer Tiffy Time.
Jade Cargill turned on Tiffany Stratton during SmackDown. After beating Tiffany Stratton down during her heel turn on the October 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, she picked up the WWE Womenâ€s Title and took a long look at the hardware. Soon after that, a SummerSlam rematch was booked.
Tiffany Stratton was spotted limping prior to the match. That certainly gave fans the idea that something big would happen. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis gave Tiffany Stratton a chance to back out of the match prior to it going down, but she wanted to defend her title.
Tiffany Stratton took the fight to Jade as soon as the bell sounded. It didnâ€t take very long for Jade Cargill to come back with the attack, and she also focused her attention on Strattonâ€s leg before nailing a chokeslam.
The match moved to the outside of the ring, where Cargill continued to punish Stratton for showing up to work. They returned to the ring, where Jade kept hitting Stratton with everything she could, including multiple powerbombs. However, Tiffany Stratton kept kicking out. Finally, she hit a Jaded and won the title.
Whatâ€s your take on how WWE booked this match on Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event? Do you believe that the womenâ€s division is better on SmackDown or RAW? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
