Fans feared the worst when AEW announced Hologram suffered an injury and would be out of action for the rest of 2025. While speculation continues, the nature of his injury has been revealed.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reveals Hologram has suffered a serious knee injury and will be out for a very long time. This setback nixed his scheduled match against Kyle Fletcher on Wednesday and ends plans for the Clone vs. Hologram feud.
“Hologram has a knee injury and heâ€s going to be out for a long, long time. That obviously messes up a lot of things. There wonâ€t be his match against Kyle Fletcher on Wednesday, and the planned Clone vs. Hologram feud wonâ€t happen.â€
Just days before the injury, Hologram was on a hot streak after scoring a win on Dynamite by pinning Hechicero in a trios match. Since debuting in July 2024, AEW had been steadily building him as a major star.
Hologram was unbeaten in both singles and tag team matches and had only recently come back from a long break caused by an ankle injury at WrestleDream last October and time off for the birth of his child.
Hologram has already proven his toughness once, and fans believe he can make another big return. His absence is a massive setback for AEWâ€s roster and storylines, but the main focus now is on a full, safe recovery so he can return as soon as possible. So weâ€ll have to see when he will be able to come back.
