Enzo Amore Credits John Cena as the Reason He Even Teamed With Big Cass

Enzo Amore has revealed that John Cena was the reason he and Big Cass became a tag team.

During a recent interview with Dominic DeAngelo of Brass Ring Media, former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore revealed how he and Big Cass became a tag team and credited John Cena as the reason.

Enzo Amore stated that when John Cena was booked to appear in a dark segment in an NXT event, the 17-time WWE Champion asked him if he wanted to accompany him to the ring. However, Amore said he asked Cena if they could also bring Big Cass along, revealing that was the moment they became a tag team.

“John Cena was booked at an NXT show to be in the dark segment and he asked me if I wanted to go to the ring with him and I was so green I didnâ€t realize I booked my own tag team partner, but I asked John Cena if Big Cass could come too, and thatâ€s how Enzo and Cass became a tag team.

“Yeah, you never saw Enzo and Cass together until John Cena put us in the ring with him. I spelt out the word ‘SAWFT†and we caught lightning in a bottle.â€

Enzo Amore also revealed in the same interview how he was the first person besides John Cena to wear sneakers on WWE television.

Enzo Amore Recently Revealed That AEW Has No Interest In Him

Following his exit from WWE in 2018, Enzo Amore started working the independent circuit under the names nZo and Real1. However, he is yet to make an appearance for All Elite Wrestling, and he revealed the reason in a recent interview.

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Enzo Amore talked about joining his former tag team partner, Big Cass, who currently goes by the name Big Bill, in AEW. Amore revealed that he had reached out to AEW, but was told they had no interest in him.

“AEW is something I considered. I reached out, but they had no interest in me,†Enzo Amore revealed. “And Iâ€m at a point where if itâ€s f**k me, itâ€s f**k you. I mean, what do I care? What, are you going to cancel me? I have nothing to lose, bro. Iâ€ve already lost everything. Iâ€ve been dragged through the mud.
