It appears Oil Country was scheduled for a service.
The Edmonton Oilers revealed their new alternate jerseys heading into the 2025-26 NHL regular season on Saturday.
Fans at their sixth annual appreciation gathering were shown a video of the new threads, featuring a “special patch saluting the work ethic of Oil Country’s industries.”
The jersey aims to honour the Edmonton region with a light tan base, oil drop details in the “S” and notably — a blue collar.
Per the team release, they’ll wear the third jersey seven times over the season, debuting it on Oct. 28 at home against the Utah Mammoth.
The other home games include Dec. 4 vs. Seattle, Dec. 6 vs. Winnipeg, Dec. 23 vs. Calgary and Jan. 31 vs. Minnesota. They will wear the jersey on the road in Chicago on Jan. 12 and in Nashville on Jan. 13.
Edmonton’s regular-season opener is set for Oct. 8 at home against the Calgary Flames, while their pre-season action gets underway Sunday in a split-squad game with the Flames.
