Did Clash In Paris Tease AJ Lee’s WWE Return?

The finish of WWE Clash in Paris has everyone speculating about the potential return of AJ Lee.

With Paul Heyman out of commission and Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed ejected from the building, it appeared Seth Rollins was on his own to defend the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Clash in Paris.

The closing moments of the match appeared to indicate that CM Punk was about to win the title once again. However, a masked woman hit the ring and hit Punk low, revealing herself to be Becky Lynch. Who we all know is Rollins’ wife.

But does this new alignment mean Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, is finally ready to return to WWE?

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), AJ Lee’s name has been brought up internally in numerous creative pitches as of late in WWE.

Pitches about a potential return for Lee have been shut down in the past. However, these weren’t met with the same reaction that there had been in the past.

While a return is far from confirmed, it appears a potential AJ Lee WWE return is closer than it has been in a decade. One WWE higher-up recently told Sapp that if Lee were to return, they aren’t concerned about the time she’s been away from the ring.
