A tenured WWE name gets recognized by Cody Rhodes following the SmackDown episode before Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Longtime and avid WWE fans have been familiar with many non-in-ring performers or on-screen stars throughout the years; among them is Stu the Cameraman. Real name Steve ‘Stu’ Stone, he’s been with the Stamford-based promotion since the 90s and is best known for aiding John Cena with his entrances.
Most of the time, the longtime WWE talent is behind the cameras, but on the SmackDown episode before Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah, Cody Rhodes decided to put the spotlight on him.
Cody Rhodes Celebrated Stu The Cameraman’s Birthday On WWE SmackDown Before Saturday Night’s Main Event
Following the October 31 episode of the Friday show, Cody Rhodes announced that it was Stu’s birthday and encouraged fans to celebrate it with him by singing the cameraman a happy birthday.
While the crowd sang, The American Nightmare put the Undisputed WWE Championship around Stu’s waist and carried him over his shoulders as the audience cheered. After placing Stu on the second rope, Cody thanked the cameraman and said that he loved him.
