On November 2, 2025, WWE Saturday Night Main Event took place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. SNME is a TV special event that is held by the WWE 4 times a year. Originally, this event was started in 2006 and lasted till 2008. In 2024, WWE made a deal with NBC to bring back this special event and held it 4 times annually.Â
This episode of SNME offered big surprises and huge moments. It was already announced that the main event of the show will be CM Punk vs Jey Uso for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. On this show, we also saw a Womenâ€s Championship match between Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton. We also saw a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship between Dominik Mysterio, Rusev, and Penta. Cody Rhodes also defended his WWE Undisputed Championship at this event against Drew McIntyre.
WWE Saturday Night Main Event Highlights
Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre
After months of feuding, Drew McIntyre and Cody faced each other in a WWE Championship match. This match had different rules; it included if Cody Rhodes disqualifies himself, Drew McIntyre will win the title. This match went on 15+ minutes, and at the end of the match, the referee got knocked out, which allowed Rhodes to hit a DDT on the title belt, followed by a Cross Rhodes to retain the title via pinfall.
Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill
A few weeks ago, Jade Cargill turned heel and attacked Tiffany Stratton; as a result of this, we saw a WWE Womenâ€s Championship match between Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton. This match went on for 20+ minutes, with Jade Cargill being in control throughout the match. At the end of the match, Cargill delivered a facebuster to win the match and become the new WWE Womenâ€s Champion via pinfall.
Dominik Mysterio vs Rusev vs Penta
After weeks of tension, Dominik Mysterio, Rusev, and Penta finally faced each other in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship. At the end of the match, as Rusev locked Penta in the Accolade, Dominik rang the announcer’s bell, distracting Rusev, which allowed Dominik to deliver a frog Splash to Rusev, and with that, Dominik secured the win and retained his title via pinfall.
John Cena Announces His Last Match
In a video package, John Cena announced that his last match will be at the Next Saturday Nightâ€s Main Event on December 14th. Cena announced that his last opponent will be decided through a 16-man Battle Royal.
CM Punk vs Jey Uso
After Seth Rollins vacated his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, CM Punk and Jey Uso faced each other for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This match lasted over 20 minutes, and at the end, as Jey Uso was about to hit a spear, CM Punk countered and delivered a GTS to Jey, securing the win and becoming the New WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
