Bronson Reed names dream opponents for WWE Crown Jewel: Perth

Bronson Reed has big aspirations for WWE Crown Jewel: Perth.

At the October 11 PLE, Reed will return to his home country of Australia as a member of the WWE roster for the first time. Reed told Casual Conversations with the Classic that competing in Australia for WWE has always been a goal for him. He’s not 100 percent sure what his plans for Crown Jewel are, but Reed said he’s sure that it will be impactful.

Reed named either Roman Reigns or John Cena as who he would choose to face if the decision were up to him.

“I feel like if it’s up to me — there’s two people, obviously,” he said. “And I’m going to call out the two biggest names in the company. Either, one, I run it back with Roman Reigns. I busted his ribs open after Paris, so I don’t know if he’s even medically clear.

“Or, two, I get in the ring for the first time with John Cena. I know it might make some of the fans unhappy globally if I was one of John Cena’s last opponents [laughs]. But, in Australia, you’re coming into my home? That’s where the Tribal Thief, you know, he’s running roughshod.”

Reigns and Cena are among the confirmed talent for the Crown Jewel: Perth PLE. Their matches have not been announced yet.

At Clash in Paris last month, Reigns defeated Reed in a singles match but was then attacked by Reed and Bron Breakker after the match. The angle was done because Reigns was going to be away from WWE for a few weeks to film his “Street Fighter” role. He will be back in time for Crown Jewel.

Cena only has five appearances left on his WWE retirement tour. He has teased a match with AJ Styles for one of those dates.

The duo of Reed and Breakker are members of The Vision, a faction that is led by Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. At WWE Wrestlepalooza last weekend, Reed & Breakker defeated The Usos.

Crown Jewel: Perth has a special start time of 8 a.m. Eastern on October 11, streaming live on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix internationally. The show is being held at RAC Arena.
