The Chicago Blackhawks inked the 24-year-old netminder to a three-year, $17.49 million extension, the club announced Saturday.
The deal is worth $5.83 million annually.
Knight was set to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season as he entered the final year of the deal he signed with the Florida Panthers in 2022.
“After joining the team in March, Spencer quickly cemented himself as a crucial piece of our future,” general manager Kyle Davidson said in a team statement. “We’re excited to watch Spencer continue to flourish in Chicago over the next four seasons.”
The Panthers’ 13th overall pick in 2019 was shipped to Chicago in a package for defenceman Seth Jones at the trade deadline in March.
Knight established a new career high with 38 appearances in 2024-25 and held a 5-8-2 record after joining the Blackhawks.
He has appeared in 95 career games, posting five shoutouts with a 2.83 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.
