AEW just locked in a massive match for WrestleDream, and it all came together after chaos erupted on the October 1 episode of Dynamite.
The show, celebrating AEWâ€s sixth anniversary in Hollywood, Florida, featured a wild trios match where Hangman Adam Page, Samoa Joe, and Powerhouse Hobbs defeated the Death Riders. But what happened after the bell has now set the stage for a major showdown in St. Louis.
Immediately following the win, Samoa Joe got in Adam Pageâ€s face, sparking a heated pull-apart that forced security to hit the ring. Coming back from commercial, Page was seen backstage, furious over the confrontation. He made it clear that Joe had disrespected him and used that moment to challenge him to a match.
Page didnâ€t just want a fight—he wanted to put his AEW World Heavyweight Championship on the line at WrestleDream. The challenge has now been added to the October 18 card, which takes place at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.
WrestleDream now has a marquee title match that pits two of AEWâ€s toughest names against each other with championship gold on the line. With Adam Page fired up and Samoa Joe not one to back down, the pay-per-view just got a major upgrade.
Is Adam Page the right challenger for Samoa Joe at WrestleDream? Who do you think walks out of St. Louis as AEW World Champion? Drop your predictions and reactions in the comments.
